Privacy Policy

The short version

There is no account to create and no newsletter. You can give us information in one place, the contact page. Depending on what you need, it shows either a request form run by Jobber, the software we schedule and quote with, or our own form, which sends what you enter to Curb’s own office system and nowhere else.

What we collect directly

Nothing. There is no contact form and no comment field on this site, and we set no cookies of our own. The fonts are served from this website rather than from a font provider, so loading a page does not tell anyone else that you did.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to see which pages get read and which towns people come from. It tells us whether the work of writing these pages was worth doing. It does not tell us who you are, and we do not connect it to anything else.

It does not load unless you allow it. Not loaded and switched off, not requested at all. If you decline, or if you leave before answering, no analytics script ever reaches your browser. That means our own numbers undercount our real traffic, which we would rather have than the alternative.

IP addresses are anonymised. We run no advertising, no remarketing and no advertising features, and we do not sell or share what we collect.

When you contact us

The contact form sends what you enter straight to Curb’s own office system. We ask for your name, a phone number and an email address, the property address, what you need, and, only if you choose to give them, photos, a timeline and a rough budget range. We cannot price a job without knowing where it is.

We use that information to reply to you, to quote the work, and, if you become a customer, to schedule and invoice it. We do not sell it, rent it, or pass it to anyone else for their own marketing.

The request and any photos are stored in the database our office software runs on, readable only by Curb’s owners. If you become a customer, your details may also be entered into Jobber, the software we use to schedule and invoice, which operates under its own privacy policy.

Third parties this site loads

Four, and this list is exhaustive as of the date above.

• Jobber: the request form for maintenance, snow and project work on the contact page. Loaded only there, and only with your consent.
• Google Maps: the embedded map of our Google Business Profile on the homepage. Google may set cookies and receive your IP address when that map loads, in the same way it would if you visited Google Maps directly. Loaded only with your consent.
• Google Analytics: page-level statistics, as described above. Loaded only with your consent.
• Our hosting provider: like any website, ours is served by a host that keeps standard server logs, which ordinarily include IP addresses and the pages requested, for security and reliability. This one is not optional, because it is how the page reaches you at all.

Cookies

We set no cookies of our own. The Google map, Google Analytics and the Jobber form set their own, which is why you are asked before any of them loads rather than opted in silently and told afterwards.

Your answer is remembered in your browser’s local storage rather than in a cookie, recording a decision about cookies in a cookie is circular, and local storage is never sent to any server. Clearing your site data will make the question come back.

Your choices

You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email hello@usecurbs.com or call (717) 229-9539. We will need enough detail to find you, and we may have to keep records of completed work for tax and insurance purposes even after a deletion request.

Children

This is a website for people arranging work on a property. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

Changes

If what this site loads or collects changes, this page changes with it and the date at the top moves.
