Land + Site · Shape it
The work that happensbefore anything else.
Excavation, clearing, grading and drainage. Getting water to go where it should and ground ready for what comes next.
Why this division exists
Most of what goes wrong on a property is underneath it. Water that has nowhere to go, ground that was never graded, a driveway built on the wrong base. It shows up years later as a wet basement, a sinking walk or a lawn that will not grow.
Land + Site is the division that deals with the ground itself. It is the first work on a new build and the last resort on an old problem, and it is the half of the business that most landscapers subcontract out.
We own the machines and run them ourselves, which is why we can take a call from a homeowner with a wet back corner on the same week as a builder who needs a site cleared.
What we do
The work, in plain words.
- ExcavationDigging, cutting and moving earth, from a footer to a whole site.

- TrenchingLines for water, power, irrigation and drainage.
- Utility and sewer supportDigging and backfill alongside the licensed trade doing the connection.
- Brush and stump removalClearing what is left once the trees are down.
Who it’s for
Two ways people come to us.
Property owners
A problem on your own ground, or a project that has to start underneath.
- Water standing after every rain, or finding its way toward the house
- A back corner nobody can mow, use or walk through
- A driveway that washes out, potholes or disappears into mud
- Ground that has to be levelled before a patio, shed or addition
Contractors and builders
Site support without the runaround, when your own crews are committed.
- Overflow capacity when the schedule slips
- Site prep and clearing ahead of your trades
- Trenching and backfill alongside your licensed work
- A contractor who answers the phone and shows up on the day
Asked and answered
Before you call.
- Do you work for other contractors?
- Yes. A good part of Land + Site is overflow and subcontract work for general contractors, builders and other trades who need a machine and an operator for a few days.
- Can you fix water in a basement?
- We fix what is outside the wall: grading, swales, drains and where downspouts end up. If the problem is inside the foundation, that is a waterproofing contractor's job, and we will say so.
- How do you price site work?
- After seeing it. Ground is the one thing nobody can quote honestly over the phone, so a site visit comes first, and the quote comes after.
